We celebrate episode #50 of our SoulBack R&B Podcast by bringing in our family Digital Black and Smoke E. Digglera of the group Playa. The duo along with the late Static Major were responsible for creating classics for the likes of Ginuwine, Aaliyah and many more. Most recently they joined fellow R&B group Dru Hill and we are anxiously waiting for their new album which is set to come out later this year. We talk to Smoke and Black about their decision to join Dru Hill, protecting Playa's legacy during the whole transition and we also talk extensively about Playa's debut album "Cheers 2 U". Dru Hill's manager Kevin also joins us on the podcast to clear the air about the lineup changes with the group and what the future holds for the group. We love real singers so we had to bring in Rahsaan Patterson who is undoubtedly one of the greatest to come out over the last 20 years. We talk to him about his new single "Sent From Heaven" as well as his upcoming project. We also discuss the importance of strong songwriting which has allowed Rahsaan to have a sustainable career.
